Hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement of Tony Curtis’ upcoming appearance, the Pictorial is happy to report that yet another living legend is going to be coming out to play in LA this month—Jerry Lewis will be (of all places) at Hollywood’s Rocket Video on June 18th at 7:00PM for an audience Q&A. It’s sketchy on whether or not the octogenarian will be doing a signing as well, although his DVDs will be on sale. (I wonder if he’d sign my VHS copy of Cinderfella …)
Scott Marks’ Emulsion Compulsion blog reports:
Jerry Lewis sure is making the rounds these days. L’irrésistible idiot has recently made his way through Fort Wayne, St. Charles, Cannes and now Los Angeles. Jerry will be appearing at Rocket Video on Thursday, June 18th at 7 p. m.
Store manager Jeff Miller will be interviewing the famed actor, producer, director, conductor, mime, singer, dancer, screenwriter, author, recording artist, nightclub performer, Broadway sensation, recipient of the French Legion of Honor, winner of an Oscar door prize, humanitarian and National Chairman and Spokesperson for the Muscular Dystrophy Organization. The interview will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
DVDs will be on sale, but it was not specified whether or not Jerry will sign them. Rocket Video is located at 726 N. LaBrea Avenue in Hollywood. For more information call (323)965-1100 or visit our website at http://www.rockethollywood.com.
My advise to Jeff Miller is that he call State Farm Insurance to see if he can’t take out an anti-snubbing policy. It’s certain that Jerry will arrive at Rocket Video, but it’s best to take precautions just in case he decides to pull a Dean Richards on the video store manager and 86 the interview.
