And since I’m on the topic of Miss Gumm, I feel obliged to reflect a moment on this: from twelve year old bright eyed kid to a troubled thirty-something who is about to reclaim her role as Entertainer Extraordinaire in this four minute stretch of celluloid in George Cukor’s A Star is Born (1954).
